Medical-grade laser hair removal for ALL skin tones and ALL skin types

About Laser Hair Removal

I use a medical-grade diode laser from Lynton, the UK's number-one laser and IPL manufacturer. These lasers provide virtually pain-free hair removal on all skin types.

  • During a laser hair removal treatment, the laser targets the hair follicles at the root of the hair. The laser light energy then travels down the hair and is transformed into heat, which causes damage to the hair follicle. This damage prevents hair regrowth throughout your treatment sessions.

Typically, hair starts to fall out about two weeks after the treatment. However, this can vary depending on your hair type, colour, and growth. It is important to complete the advised number of sessions, which is usually 6-8 appointments, to achieve the best results.

  • Laser hair removal is a minimally painful procedure. It can be likened to a rubber band snapping against the skin and is generally less painful than waxing or threading. In the rare case that you do experience any mild discomfort after the treatment, such as redness or itchiness, we recommend applying a soothing aloe vera gel to the affected area.

  • Almost. Laser Hair Removal doesn't remove hair forever but permanently reduces hair growth by 80%-90%. You should only need 1-2 yearly top-ups to keep your skin smooth and hair-free.

  • Sessions range from 5 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. Underarm treatments typically take about 10 minutes; a full-body treatment can take about 1 hour.

  • No, there’s no downtime at all. You may experience some redness afterwards, but we’ll apply a calming gel immediately after your treatment to soothe that away.

  • During your first consultation, we will create a custom treatment plan for you. To save money, you can purchase a course of treatments after the consultation.

For best results, it typically takes 6 to 10 treatments to see an 80-90% reduction in hair growth. However, the exact number of treatments needed may vary depending on your skin tone, hair type, and the area of the body being treated. For the face area, I recommend starting with 10 to 12 treatments. After this, you will only need an annual top-up.

Preparing for your first appointment

  1. For four weeks before your appointment, do not wax, tweeze or thread the areas you’ll be treating. Shaving during your treatment course is fine.

  2. 12-24 hours before your appointment, please shave the part of your body you’ll be treated on.

  3. For your safety, two weeks ahead of your appointment, you’ll need to avoid the following:

    • Direct sun exposure

    • Tanning beds

    • Fake tans and spray tans

    • Chemical peels

    • Laser resurfacing treatments

Safety first

  1. You’ll need an initial consultation and patch test. The consultation costs £25 and is redeemable when you book a treatment course of 6 sessions or more.

  2. If you have any medical conditions or start taking new medications, please let me know so we can assess whether this treatment is possible.

  3. If you’re pregnant, unfortunately, I won’t be able to perform this treatment – but I can help you arrange a later date when you can and suggest other treatments for you in the meantime.

After-treatment care

  1. Caring for your skin after your Laser Hair Removal is simple – apply a soothing aloe vera gel for one week.

  2. Avoid shaving and exfoliating treated areas for at least five days after treatment. From day 5, you can begin exfoliation, which will help encourage the hair to fall out.

  3. For your safety, 24 hours after your appointment, you’ll need to avoid the following:

    • Intense workouts

    • Saunas or steam rooms

    • Hot showers or baths

  4. For your safety, for the two weeks after your treatment, you’ll need to avoid direct sun exposure to the treated area and wear SPF protection outside.
